We recently visited a local exhibition about children's shows from old right up to the modern day. It was great to see some memories.

I loved Superted and Mr Benn particularly and we had all the He-Man figures!

Be warned, this may give away your age!

Iron Horse was my favourite ,we only got a TV around 1977.. I remember we were touring Rhodesia with my Dad (roughly 1 year before) and we stopped off at a friend of his and they had TV ,hehehehe I was so amazed at this box all I wanted to do was to watch cartoons..

Heck that has brought back memories

Awww the flumps! I used to love that!

How....... You'll need to be 40+ to remember that

Champion The Wonder Horse...... You'll need to be 45+ to remember that

Casey Jones........... You'll need to be 50+ to remember that

Wacky Raceys, Hector's House, Animal Magic, The Wombles, Play Away and Take Hart were others... Can still remember Watch With Mother!!

Although not a children's television programme, being able to watch the Apollo space programme during the late 60's early 70s was gripping stuff for both youngsters and adults. And I'm not sure anything has been on television since to actually beat that.....

Thanks,
Barney

Was very proud of my flump I made at school and I'm only 21

Can't believe I was alive when man first went to the moon, and we've been no where since! Does lend weight to my missus's conspiracy theory that it was all cobblers and we've never been.

Was expecting to be holidaying on Mars by now

Steve, I think you can still book as much duty free as you like as well. The other half will probably prefer somewhere more sedate like Center Parks.........

Thanks,
Barney

I'm not too far off it sadly.... although I feel so much older since I had a child and now get virtually no sleep. Ha.
