There's a few classics here. Occasion is one I always have to REALLY think about.
There's a whole website dedicated to the 'alot' error. I'll have to dig it out, it's brilliant.

funny you should say that but definitely is mine too (just spelt it wrong now again) always put the flipping E after the L ,there are a few other like the as I always type it teh drives me mad but my fingers always do it
Bizzarre! definitely is also a word I struggle with. I wonder why so many people have a problem? Maybe too many "i"s? Also have some weird ones, change fuel and one on the list which I can't spell for love or money, maintanenece
I type too fast for my brain - well thats my excuse Also my name embarrassingly - i seem to type Clvie Clive
Necessary is annoying, but you have to remember one Collar and two Sleeves. I'll always remember my friend's mum telling me how to spell rhythm. Rhythm Has Your Two Hips Moving. I do love a mnemonic! There's a great one for diarrhoea I heard recently....Does It Always Run Really Horribly Over Each Ankle. Not sure how often you really need to write that word though! Definitely I always remember has the word finite in the middle. Thanks, Rebecca CV and blog writer Pay for Precision | Saving you time by writing you kick-ass blogs and CVs.
I think probably the biggest mistake we all make with spelling is with punctuation either over or under doing it.... and with the I before E except after C ruling..... But according to Stephen Fry on QI this has now been flipped on it's head and they no longer teach this in schools Thanks, Barney |
