My sister wants to sell the dresses, t-shirts and other clothes that she makes. She already has an online shop though not a physical shop. She has some potential customers who are interested in buying in bulk but can't since she doesn't have a credit card machine. Are there credit card machines that you can bring with you wherever you go?

She can use her smartphone or tablet to accept payments, she just needs to get a credit card reader and voila! her smartphone (or tablet) transforms into a mobile credit card reader.

Yeah. I did a bit of research yesterday and read that there's mobile credit card processing using those devices. I'll tell her later. I'm sure she'll like it.

Any suggestions on which provider is good? Thanks for posting.

There are a few about. I have a PayPal 1 which works brilliantly , all you do is connect to to your Iphone or which ever phone you have to do the transactions ,mine even has the quick tap method. What makes it even better is there are no monthly fees just fees per transaction which I am happy with.. The only downside is the battery life is not great ,but mine is connected to 1 of the USB battery packs and works quite well

Yeah, your sister can make use of her own smartphone to handle the bulk of selling needs. Only thing she need is, credit card reader. There are number of options but I think Square is the best one. It is easy to use and has plenty of advanced features. Most importantly, you don't have to open merchant account unlike other mobile credit card users. Go for this one only!!
