See you don't get quality controversy and snob confessions on your average SEO forum

What a day.... 12th December 2014 7:50 AM

Blimey mate, close call!

On the way home I've seen the same lunatic motorcyclist a few times who weaves through the traffic, carving people up and it's a matter of time using the law of probability and darwins theory of evolution before he hurts himself.

I'm only hoping he just falls off like your fella and doesn't take anyone else with him, or the 2 resident coppers who cover Warwickshire happen to see him...

Tesco shares price drops 11th December 2014 10:55 AM

hmmm, could be one to keep an eye on though, falling to 95p would send off enough alarm bells to clean sweep the cupboard of any skeletons and put a rescue plan into action. May take a couple of years, but bet it would  bounce back.

Yup, it's wrong I know, but I'm also afflicted with the snob gene, haven't even managed to get into an Aldi's

Ok we've either got gremlins or some rank amateur accidentally overwrote something.. ahem

Dreamraven and Indizine both flagged they couldn't work out the Private Messaging, which is because it was locked in test mode only working for me and Clive. Paul our long suffering developer has just re-uploaded the correct page and it's erm now working again...

So finally, PM is working. I'll get my coat..

Chocolate coins......now in Euros! 10th December 2014 11:31 AM

Hmm, this could be the reason... no more Cadburys choccie coins  Thanks Kraft

Maybe blame Aldi and Liddells for the cheap Euro coins?

As reported by the Telegraph:

The chocolate-maker said shoppers had switched to cheaper, own-brand versions sold at supermarkets such as Aldi, Lidl and Poundland, leaving its own sales in decline.

Wrapping gold foil around a piece of coin-shaped chocolate was "fiddly", a spokesman explained, while its version of the stocking-filler had proved difficult to sell without "Cadbury purple" to distinguish it.

"We are sorry to see the coins go, but that's business," the spokesman said.

We're sorry to see British companies get swallowed up by overseas conglomerates and drop traditional products, but that's business...

Noticed our Morrisons was at £1.22 for Diesel this morning. Means I can fill up for £90 versus £125 when fuel was it is peak last year.

I would love it to go sub £1, not sure if that's realistic.

Foreign brickies brought in for 10th December 2014 11:00 AM

Welcome to the forum Spenny, and very much appreciate your professional input.

If only employers looked on their own doorstep they would find that our Skills Shortage could soon be overcome!”

So why aren't employers looking on their own doorstep, or is just poor survey stats by Manpower done to drum up a media story?

If colleges like yours are offering free work experience for enthusiastic and trained youngsters, why on earth aren't large firms biting your hand off. Is there a common reason Employers are citing?

Outside looking in, it seems to be win win for everyone. Youngsters gain employment and experience, employers get lower cost resource and no doubt some grants for taking on apprentices.

what have penguins got to do with Christmas?”

Moved you over to the Marketing Fail post as it seem to fit in well

It seems the sale of Penguin books are up as well

Maybe we should rebrand as My Local Christmas and get some unexpected windfall traffic...
