I guess it was just a matter of time till it happened, driving behind an ambulance this evening with a motorcyclist behind me, ambulance driver slows down for roundabout and pulls out onto it and I do the same. Motorcyclist comes up the inside of me just as I'm pulling out onto the roundabout and sticks his brakes on for no reason. I drive to the right of him and pass, a quick look in my wing mirror and he's on the floor I pull over thinking I've hit him, he then comes over ranting and raving calling me all the names under the sun saying that I had wrecked his bike blah blah blah. I tell him to calm down, the verbal abuse keeps coming I tell him again to calm down and we'll sort things out, more verbal abuse, I tell him if he doesn't shut up I'm going to put him on the deck again. He still carries on by which time I've had enough, so I grab hold of him, taking into account that the last time I had a brawl of any kind I was still in my teens
and I'm thinking to myself what am I going to do now... Well that was it I got my first whiff of alcohol on him, he was then going nowhere, took his helmet of him, got some passing builders to call the police, they turned up
and breathalyzed him and he was over the top so got nicked. The police officer said he wanted to look at my vehicle to see if there was any damage, so of he went and came back and said as there is so much traffic dirt on your vehicle with no marks on it at all everything indicates that the motorcyclist has just lost his balance and fell off, if I had hit him the dirt on the van would have been displaced..... Moral of the story don't drink and drive and don't wash your motor..
