I think 'average speed' cameras are far more effective, although they need to be operating of course. Just speed cameras are almost pointless as people just slow down then speed up again.

Exactly my point, I drive every day from shop to shop and really get to see some appalling driving ,yes I am guilty too sometimes .. But my pet hate is as soon as you drive into a shopping area it just seems the rule book gets thrown out the window

They've introduced a few of these no traffic signals/road marking junctions in Coventry city centre now. It's interesting! You have to slow down and take notice of what's happening. I think I like them.

Are you talking about these roads where there are no real roads and pavements .. If you are I do like them too ,just means having a little more awareness around you ,Ashford has a bit in the town centre

Yes, they are quite strange...but innovative I think!

I saw on TV sometime that they are actually better this way. They following on from another country that does it already (can't remember which) and the death toll drops dramatically, although you would find it hard to believe at first

I hate driving round Coventry, that ring road gives me the heebjeebies! Drive round Brum, London, no probs.

Coventry, I get lost everytime, or nearly wiped out on the ring road with people entering and leaving the same 150 yard bit of slip road doing about 80mph

The ring road is my nemesis!! But lately I am getting the hang of it a bit more. Apparently it is designed so if we start driving on the right it is fine to use the other way round!
