????????? Ask the suppliers of powerpoint (it'd give the staff there something interesting to think about)? Do you know anyone who never throws anything away - including old PCs / software? Some geeks hold onto their software much longer than you'd expect. Have you tried the obvious -searching on Google how open powerpoint [version X] or putting your question to an IT forum? Thanks i have tried the downloads etc and all of the variations i could think of and the only conclusion i have come to is that there must be a file missing stopping it from opening, i am going to the old computer on Sat so i will look then. thanks anyway  Thanks, ithas2bedone
