Keep hearing and reading very good things about Chrome, anyone else using it?

Waiting on the full Mac release with bated breath

I beta tested it but it was very bugy at the time.
things like it would not resize between multiple screens with diferent resolutions.

uses it in anger I believe.

yep been using chrome for some time, but have moved back to IE ever since they brought out IE8, (and fixed all the probs with IE7, the first tabbed browsing effort) and use that for my main browser.

Tabbed browsing makes life much easier and is much more memory efficient and the one feature I do like on chrome which you still cant do on IE is dragging a tab and creating a new feature.

But do find chrome buggy at times, some apps like online banking don't like it, so I tend to use it now as a test browser when checking resolution or layouts. For all its faults, I do like the IE layout, and am just used to where everything is, and never really felt fully comfortable with chrome.

That said though, chrome pushed the boundaries which has forced the other browsers to play catch up and get better, which is only a good thing IMHO.

Being a Mac lad, you wont have any positive IE opinions, but if chrome is same on a Mac as is on a PC, then it should give you a much more efficient browsing experience

Brilliant, cheers for that Steve, will carry on waiting for the full mac release, always been a FF fan, but seeing and hearing so many good things about 'Chrome' thought I would ask you techies, and your right, I am anti IE, but that said, billions of users has to count for something!

I have found chrome quicker than IE, and as a bad speller it has helped, I know mozilla has spell check as well but for now it's chrome.

tomsk

good point, one thing missing out of IE is the built in spell check, does work well in chrome

ok so now im following nerds

Just installed Chrome on my wifes pc (see, i'm not stupid), but cant see where I store my favourites? I press the star in the browser and it says bookmark added.

so where are they?

spell checkers cool though, although my online banking tells me this browser is owned by the devil and i need to use a different one

open a new tab, and you'll see a bookmark bar under the search bar. On the right is a drop down menu with any saved bookmarks.

If you select a bookmark, you can drag it onto the bookmark bar, so you can keep your favourites as little icons under the search bar, very similar to how it works on IE8.

make sense?

Tried Chrome on the Mac, not liking it to be honest, it has no issues, just not quite as easy to use as ff, it could be me, but I am staying ff for a while it seems!
