Cars, repairs, MOT. Unfortunatley mine is over 3 years old the garage quoted me nearly

Hi new to this forum so hello. Only joined because mylocal kept spamming my email box for me to upgrade to a premium listing, not bad for a site that hates spam
Anyway back to the topic I guess this could be said for many goods nowadays not just cars, as someone who has been in the heating and plumbing industry for 20 odd years it use to be the case that a gas boiler would last 20 - 25 years only problem with this is the manufacturers never really made much money on the spares. Nowadays the cost of a gas boiler is reletively cheap, the same can be said for televisions and all white goods in a throwaway society. Manufacturers know that within a period of say 3 - 5 years the product will breakdown and will then be able to recoup there investment on the repair costs and spares. Last year I was at a well known boiler manufacturers head office where they proudly announced that they purchased all their printed circuit boards from China @50p each and proudly sold them to the retail outlets @

Thanks,
Barney

Just had to change my bulb on the drivers side. Have to take the water filler bottle out first, and still have to be double jointed to get to the bulb holder. Then find it is held in with a wire clip that you need fingers like pliers to remove. Finally after getting the old bulb out, you find it will only reassembe in one direction, if you took the time to look at the way the bulb was located as you extracted it. (I didn't look, it took me around 30 mins to put it back together)
