We recently used Lee's services for a survey on a detached 50's bungalow that had been extended over time and we are planning on purchasing. Lee was available to meet us at the house towards the end of the survey and pointed out some of the observations he had identified. We found his survey report very thorough and were pleased with the overall outcome. Fortunately for us, the property was in a good condition overall, but Lee highlighted some areas where future maintenance was needed (and to be expected). We also had a follow up call with him where he gave us an honest and realistic view on when we should do things and an approximate budget for them. We were impressed with Lee's approach and the report he produced will be useful both for the purchase and to help us carry out future maintenance . We would certainly recommend this company for other buyers.

I found South West Surveyors through a friend who highly recommended them and we also had an excellent experience using their services.
It was simple to organise, we said we needed a survey and Martin took care of the rest! Martin was very friendly and explained our options around survey levels and generally made the process clear and simple. He also regularly updated us along the way and organised everything with the sellers.
Lee performed our survey, quickly provided us with a thorough report and kindly took the time to talk through and explain the issues for us. I would highly recommend his services and will get in contact again if we buy another property in the future.

Though price is not the most competitive in the market, Lee (Surveryor) and Martin (Client Services) were always responsive, in a swift manner. The Full Report was very detail and when we had the virtual meeting with Lee he gave detailed explanation. Would definitely recommend!

Lee was assigned as our surveyor - The report he put together was very thorough, he even scheduled in a Zoom meeting with us after the report was finalised. He was happy to guide us through the whole report and expand on the areas that we had questions on.
We would highly recommend Lee to all of our friends and family - The level of service was extremely high compared to the cost.

Lee's report was very thorough and well balanced, highlighting positives about the property as well as a very detailed description of risks and issues.

When it came to our meeting, he was helpful, clear and good to talk to. He was knowledgeable about the area and after the meeting we were much better informed about what the property needed and were able to renegotiate the sale price on the back of that information.

Would absolutely recommend Lee to anyone looking for a building surveyor.

Martin at Domestic Surveys was very informative, friendly and managed to book us in with Lee for a full structural survey of our property we had an offer agreed upon.
The amount of detail and professionalism in Lee's report was brilliant. There were lots of pictures of around the house including the whole roof structure and chimney stack.
The report highlighted many areas and without it we could have made a huge financial mistake with the serious issues that would never have been found were it not for the survey.

Lee took the time to do a long video chat to go through everything in more detail and to explain to us the issues and what could have been done to rectify them.
We eventually decided not to proceed but have now booked Domestic Surveys already for our next offer.

Martin and Lee were fantastic - very open communication at all times, incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. They spent time talking me through the process and then through the survey report, going into detail about what it meant and answering all my questions honestly and with expertise. I can't recommend them enough.

The survey was slightly more expensive than others but definitely worth paying that little bit extra for such great service.

South West surveyors were fantastic. Martin gave me some initial information about the services they provide, which were very detailed and made me make my descion a lot quicker. Lee carried out our survey and was amazing. Within 24 hours of completing the survey we received a VERY detailed report and was able to put our minds at ease. Lee Preston has delivered on time a clear and detailed full building survey report. He has offered to meet afterwards so I can ask questions about the content, and provided guidance on actions to take. He also answered further questions via email.
Martin has also been great at organizing the survey, and answering my questions in a timely manner.

Very thorough survey and well worth the money. We would use again and definitely recommend to friends and family. Lee went into the loft and got some great shots of the roof which was a surprise. And he made some recommendations which we discussed in more detail over the phone. He knew his stuff!
