The distinctive art deco frontage of Mounts Baths holds within it a modern, community-inspired activity centre. As well as the two pools – a 30m main pool and a 20m teaching pool – there’s also a gym that’s packed with all the latest equipment alongside a dedicated group exercise studio with a packed programme of classes. There’s also a sauna, steam room and plunge pool available at Mounts Baths, which are perfect for winding down after a long swim or workout.
The spacious gym provides ample room to achieve your individual fitness goals. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, Mounts Baths has the equipment and expertise to support you.
There are two pools at Mounts Baths Leisure Centre. The 30m main pool hosts Everyone Active’s award-winning swim lessons for children and adults, as well as many other swim sessions including lane swimming and family fun swimming. The smaller teaching pool, meanwhile, is perfect for smaller children who are either new to water or still getting used to it and are building their confidence.
Swimming lessons start for children as young as 4 months old and are available for all ages, with students working towards badges and certificates, collecting them at each stage. The swim teachers are all Swim England (or equivalent) qualified.
There’s a huge choice of fitness classes at Mounts Baths. There's something for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, ranging from high-energy Les Mills BODYPUMP sessions to more relaxed yoga and Pilates classes.
You can wind down and begin your recovery after a tough workout (or just a tough week at work) in the on-site sauna, steam room and plunge pool. This heat and cold therapy is guaranteed to help you on your way to a calmer mindset and a more relaxed body.
