Fernihurst Nursing Home - Sanctuary Care

Fernihurst Nursing Home in Douglas Avenue has been awarded a national Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award, in recognition of the excellent end-of-life care the devoted team provides.

Manager at the not-for-profit Sanctuary Care home, which also provides dementia care, nursing and respite care, David Sarreira proudly received the award at the GSF annual conference and awards ceremony. The event, held recently in Birmingham, is a celebration of the UK's exceptional health and social care providers for the care in the final year of life.
He said: "I am so proud and honoured to have received this award on behalf of the incredible team we have here at Fernihurst. It is truly testament to the exceptional standards of care we provide to all of our residents, at every stage of their journey with us. Our team are passionate about providing the most dignified and enriching care we can for all of our residents, and their care and compassion truly shine."
