This town in Cheshire features a large railway junction and once hosted a major railway engineering facility. (Crewe Heritage Centre is in the old LMS railway yard). It was also home of Rolls-Royce and now produces Bentley cars. The Grade II-listed Edwardian Lyceum Theatre – which shows drama, ballet, opera, music, comedy and panto – forms central Crewe.
