Brian came to the house at our request to advise us on drawing up our wills, power of attorney and tenants in common. Brian explained everything very clearly and professionally. The above requests were carried out quickly and efficiently even though we had a few changes made. Nothing was too much trouble.My husband and I would certainly recommend his service .

A friendly, ethical, local Will writing and estate planning business. I do standard and complex wills to suit your circumstances.

At BMS I make it simple for you to put your affairs in order. From your initial appointment I take care of everything and make sure that you fully understand the process from start to finish.

My many satisfied clients come from a complete cross section of the population from young families to the elderly. I always do my best to empathise with your own unique circumstances, to deliver a bespoke service.

In order to save you money, and therefore to be able to offer you competitive prices, I work from home and don't own an expensive office or fancy web site that gives you a load of information that you don't need!!

Instead I travel to your home at a time to suit you and a simple phone call or email is usually enough to give you any specific information that you may feel that you need prior to my visit.

Morning/Afternoon and Evening appointments are available.

Qualified as a member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters to take your will instructions.

Choosing the right person to do this important work for you can be a bit of a lottery so my advice to you is to read my customer reviews for an independant assessment of the quality of my work. I cannot add my own reviews to this web site only my customers can do this.

Please note that after receiving 44 reviews on this site I have now stopped asking my Clients to leave reviews for me.

The reason for this is that according to My Local Services 84% of people trust online reviews, but 90% of consumers read less than 10 reviews before forming an opinion.

I ve recently had two will preparations done by Brian and im very happy with the service he provided. Brian was able to include any specific wordings i wanted to include and was able to provide a witness signature for the wills. Brian was also able to advise on will storage.

The link to Brian Slater and will writing came to me through a Cancer Research document. I felt more comfortable contacting a solicitor that Cancer Research 'approved'. What a good decision this was. Brian was very thorough, patient in his explanations and made the whole business of generating our wills, lasting Power of Attorney and Tenants in Common very easy. All this was done in a week.
I was more than comfortable with the fees for his services as one always has the fear that charges may escalate under the banner of complexity.
I feel extremely satisfied with Brian's work and guidance and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

I have to say that I was initially a bit concerned at the number of attachments of more complex wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney information that Brian sent to me prior to our meeting. You read and hear stories where people have been held hostage in their own homes until they have signed on the dotted line and that was the last thing that I wanted.
Well how wrong I was to worry. Reading through the information instead of having it sprung on me at the last moment, actually empowered me to come to the right decision for my needs. Brian was not in the least bit pushy he simply gave me the prices and the pros and cons of each choice I had to make and left it up to me to decide.
Many thanks Brian for a great professional yet personal service all in my own home at a time to suit me, and bringing your wife round to sign the documents - at no extra charge - was the icing on the cake.

I decided to write a will after a friend passed away recently having not documented their wishes in writing. I could see that this caused added work for the family at a sad time so this prompted me to contact BMS+ (who were recommended through my employer)to get my own affairs in order. Brian contacted me very quickly to make an appointment at my home. I was very impressed that a Sunday meeting was not a problem. The process was very well explained and extremely smooth and timely. I received great communication throughout, nothing was too much trouble and the service very professional. I was most grateful that Brian even offered to bring his wife as a witness to the signing as I prefered not to ask a friend. Many thanks BMS - If only all service providers followed this example.

My partner found "BMS Legal Services" on the inter-net & after a short telephone call they made an appointment for a home visit that was convenient for my partner & I. (which wasn,t easy as we both work shifts) Brian Slater then contacted us via e mail & attached some short documents for us to read through before his visit. These documents explained the process of making a will and the things we needed to think about before hand. This was very handy as it gave my partner & I time to discuss the points at our leisure with no outside influence.

On the day of appointment Brian Slater arrived promptly at the agreed time, he produced identification & introduced himself professionally. The Will was then discussed at length, all our questions were answered in an unrushed manner untill we fully understood the implications of our decisions. My partner & I were very impressed with the overall expierience & would reccomend "BMS legal" to our family & friends. WELL DONE "BMS"!!!!!

My father-in-law was recently hospitalised and decided he wanted to make a will. He is an advocate of keeping things in the community and wanted a local business to draft this request. I phoned a number of companies on a Saturday morning. Brian Slater contacted me back the same day and met with my father-in-law on the Sunday! He was extremely professional in his manner, knowledgeable of the process and answered all questions in a way that instilled confidence. Everything was written, proof read and signed within 10 days. An excellent service that I would heartily recommend.

Now we have a baby to consider we thought we should write a will ;just in case. I got quotes from several will writing serivces and the BMS rate (Brian Slater) was very competitve. There was also the added advantage of a home visit at a time to suit us. Brian was extremely knowledgeable but there was no hard sell. His emails gave us the opportunity to consider all of our options fully so we were prepared for the meeting and we didnt have to make any on the spot decisions. Very professional.

Unfortunately, an elderly relative of mine required to complete his will in a hurry. He had learned that he had terminal cancer and had only a few weeks to live. He wanted to write a will to ensure his last wishes were fulfilled. Brian was very professional and helpful. His home visit was carried out with sensitivity and he explained the options available. He then guided my relative through the will and ensured that it it matched his requirements. Brian has a friendly yet professional approach, it puts clients at ease and at the same time is reassuringly professional. Brian does not try to sell additional products but does have a number of useful contacts if required. I would recommend Brian unreservedly to anyone who wants to ensure their last wishes are met. This experience has taught the family of the importance of having a will in place and having that peace of mind at a time when you want to spend your time just &being there and not frantically running around.

Brian managed to combine being friendly and Profesional so that I felt at ease at all times and that I had the knowledge that I needed to make the best decision for myself.
This started with the very useful information I received prior to his visit and continued as he discussed the various options with me in the comfort of my own home.
