Perhaps make a list of priorities that you expect. Also, are your specifications accurate and are any milestones within the quote that you can both uphold to? Have you listed the things you get let down on to find a common denominator? Can they perhaps point to something you can learn to avoid in the future?

Just in general and not aimed at you, but good customer service, reliability, helpfulness, speed of responses, added unseen value, etc, do not come cheap let alone the cost of the website design itself and all too often I see that those things are expected but not accounted for when making comparable costs on quotes.

Fake reviews and fake testimonials for any company, let alone an seo company, is the worst thing you can do.

They had more than enough time to re-let the room, what a nonsense! It was booked for 22-29 July and the woman died 31 May! The daughter rang to cancel before then too, so loads of time.

I have 4 hotel rooms booked next week and I have until 6pm on the night of arrival to cancel without losing any money whatsoever.

Never put your eggs in one basket and rely on what appears to be a great source, e.g ebay That source can often eventually dry up or become too expensive. You should have a variety of lead generating methods in place.

I generally use a mix of forums, seo, local networking and most importantly, my best marketing tool is building good relationships with my clients to ensure word of mouth referrals are maintained, as it's a higher conversion rate than people picking up names off the internet.

That said, from enquiry to sale, my conversion has consistently been at around 90% for a few years. Most clients turn up with an order eventually - it might even be as long as 2 years before a quote comes good (that's been my longest conversion) - but certainly plenty of people call me up and I send a quote which can convert several months down the line when they are ready.

1. Like every new service I contemplate using, it would depend how much and what you did for that cost. Nearly everyone researches a service or product and weighs up their options before buying. You can't ask a generic, broad question and expect people to say yes or no to that in order to help you.

2. I have no idea and if you don't how is anyone else here going to know? It would worry me that you aren't as knowledge about what's popular in your industry as i'd expect you to be.

I am curious why you would not ask your web designer this question?

They should know the answer to that one then.

But Yes, I would launch the html site now and get it underway in the search engines.

Are you doing the wordpress site yourself or have you hired someone to do the work?
