Looking at the various comments on Facebook and am genuinely baffled

Looking on my timeline I can see nothing but sad comments, anger, disbelief and nostalgia. Yet when we ran our poll, there was nothing but pro leave comments across Facebook and Twitter, with hardly anyone voicing any remain sentiment.

Have people suddenly woken up or is there something shady going on...

Oh well, lets see how Boris the new PM unites the country and steers us all to a happy future.

In light of recent events... 24th June 2016 10:02 AM

You can still get French Sticks and Stella from Tescos

Having the second largest economy leave the EU is going to hurt regardless what anyone says. Will be very interesting if it becomes a house of cards as remaining members will have to make up the shortfall of our contributions amid rumblings of discontent.

Why the powers at be just didn't stick with a simple straight forward common market rather then trying to be a wannabe USA of Europe  A strategy that has spectacularly backfired and eventually could bring down the Euro.

16,406,195 ......... nearly there....... Will Dave resign or get pushed? Will we be say bye bye to Scotland?.....

Resignation was inevitable, as for Scotland, that will fuel the fires and be an unnecessary distraction for the next few years, until they wear us all down and another referendum is granted, which they will win. Then we will see Nationalistic pressure increase on Northern Ireland politics.

Maybe Yorkshire and Cornwall will vote to detach as well and we'll end up as a bunch of principalities

Just watched the Bank of England Governor give his business as usual speech and reassurance everything will be alright after all, and no need to resort to haggling or converting to shekels.

Going to be an interesting but long winded process over the next 2 - 5 years, then after about 10 we can see if it was worth it.

So Cameron will step down in October, ready for bumbling Boris. Maybe we will see a Boris Trump world after all

Polling wise, interesting looking at how close it turned out. So it looks like the YouGov was spot on versus our 77%.

It was apparent the remain camp was losing the argument, or to be fair never really led it. So I wonder if it rallied more people to vote remain, as the voter turn out at 72% is pretty amazing. You would never see that for a general election.

Social media wise, looking at the comments, they were overwhelmingly pro leave, with little passion or rebuttal for the remain camp.

Exchange rate is currently $1.37 to the £1, thank god I went to America last month. Question now is how long it will take the markets to stabilise?

Oh my word, totally gutted!

Think it will be a longtime before we realise the impact. See Cameron has just quit, so que lots of turmoil as the Tories disintegrate.

Today's the day, vote done

The MLS poll is getting some attention on twitter, bizitalk just pinged me, although a smaller sample, pretty much the same results.

Now closing our poll, so final tally, 8,483 votes!

If it turns out to be a 70% win for the remain campaign, although I think it's good, it would certainly raise a few questions...

What Are You Listening To Now? 23rd June 2016 9:05 AM

Had Clash's "Should I stay or should I go" blasting out as I turned up at the polling station

Well I watched the TV debate last night and fell asleep on the sofa half way through it. What a load of tosh.

Didn't rate the Trade Union woman for the Remain campaign. Boris was Boris, but rest of the panel were pretty good. As true blue, it's bizarre to be agreeing with the current London Labour Mayor versus the outgoing Tory one.

BBC seem to be going for a bit of a late minute pro push looking at the "More than 1,280 business leaders sign letter" headline on the website.

Whatever happens tomorrow, it has been quite surreal watching party colleagues turning on each and forging temporary alliances with traditional enemies.

Just need to wait for the next Scottish Referendum now

I'm confident we're going, but not overly as I think it can still go either way.... I think it all depends on how the youngsters value their right to vote... If they all come out and have their say we'll be staying.... If they all stay in bed stoned or drunk from the night before we'll be leaving.... At the end of the day it will effect them far greater than it will effect me....”

As this is a serious British decision, I think it will come down to the weather. Currently its rain and thunder for Thursday, so that will keep the youngsters and the apathetic from the polling stations, which mean we will remain.

If it's sunny, we've had it and we'll leave...
