Its Black Friday!! 25th November 2016 10:03 AM

It seems to be more of a black week/month this year

Mind you, with the delivery problems experienced last year, spreading sales over a longer period has to be a good thing for everyone.

I wonder if the Queen nearly swallowed her boiled egg when she heard about the suggestion to make Nigel the UK Ambassador for the USA

At some point, someone in Mr Trumps PR department is going to have to ban him from social media. It's very admirable speaking your mind, or the very first thing that comes out of it, but can you imagine the Teresa May ranting away on Twitter? Or any other world leader?

To be fair I think Prince Phillip should have a twitter account, as that would be sheer entertainment.

So here is a selection of Mr Trumps most recent tweets...

Is it me or does anyone else think he comes over as a belligerent school boy continually spitting his dummy? As opposed to someone who is about to become the most powerful man on the planet...

Are you a Business traveler aged 20-35 18th November 2016 4:45 PM
Hi Steve

are you a business traveler? and if you are please could you answer some of my questions

thanks

Ok, so this is purely business related (before I get slated for been a tight wad)

-What you do you and don't you like about hotels?

Ease of booking and slick online system, historical bookings when hunting for lost invoices etc.

Hate pretentiousness, snobbery and getting fleeced. Refuse to stay anywhere that allows pets (ticks and smell).

-What is your first choice of hotel?

When it comes to business, it has to be Premier Inn. cheap, cheerful, know what you're getting.

-What activities do you partake in when not working?

Food, bar, sleep!

- How could hotels help to better your stay?

Take a leaf out of Premier Inns model. Travelodge are slowly getting there but still have got a long way to go IMHO if recent trip to Edinburgh was anything to go by.

- Age - 25 and three quarters

And Amazon has started Black Friday sale, apparently 12 days early......”

oh gawd, now it will be Black November followed by gullible December

It's novelty now not see a sale of some description. Maybe that's a new USP, no sales here, be fleeced all year round

How Much Should I Claim For? 16th November 2016 10:30 AM

Blimey, if the manufacturer has accepted full liability, then you must be entitled to loss of earnings, business, stress etc etc.

Sounds like you need to sit down with a decent solicitor and sooner rather than later. This will be a nice retirement fund

Vacancy in the NHS IT department 15th November 2016 11:25 AM

As a former techie who despises email servers, I can really sympathise with the poor (or former) NHS techie who sent a test email to the entire NHS distribution list.

Amplified by the number of idiots that "replied to all", reports suggest around 180 - 200 million duff emails were bouncing round the NHS

It does make me smile (or growl) the number of people who like to paste in their contact lists into the "to" field instead of BCC. Recently we have had it from our business centre canteen, receptionist and my kids school also love to do it.

Still, gives me more names for the monthly sales mail... Joking... (in case the DPA are watching)
