Business jargon, do you use it? 19th September 2015 7:00 PM

Naming no names I was recently invited to 'touch base' with a colleague and in fact another client said the same thing last week on the phone. I nearly burst out laughing until I realised they were both serious. I struggle to take it seriously as it all sounds a bit David Brent to me, does anyone else find it annoying/funny or have I been outside the corporate world too long?

This article gives some great examples. And don't get me started on people that say they'll put in 110% effort....

Oh no, you did the sad face! I feel bad now. I'll sponsor you but not joining in, I'm a wreck since having a baby, my joints can't take it!

Thanks Steve, I still haven't got round to this as I've been busy with work (which is good). I'm no good at the call to action thing, I guess having no website to direct to isn't helpful. People can just message on FB or email.

Messing about I did this, but need a call to action...won't pass FB rules either I doubt.

Try this...

1.  Subtract the year you were born from the current year.

- that'll be "roughly" how old you are!

Genius. Give this man his own TV show!

Anyone used Squarespace? 18th September 2015 8:25 PM

My friend was going to create my website for me, he's a web designer, sadly 2 or so years on and we've not got it finished so looking at doing one myself with his help/advice. He suggested perhaps something like Squarespace? Anyone have opinions on this?

I am reluctant to pay for a professional fancy pantsy site as frankly I don't need one, I have got this far without a site at all (amazingly) and things are going well so I don't think wasting too much money on a website is the way to go. I don't need a shop or anything like that.

Thanks.
