I agree with Izzy that gut feeling is so important! If I've ever ignored mine it's never gone well. 

I'm definitely very wary of open WiFi and in fact they rarely support what's app so I tend not to use them anyway as that's my main form of communication on my phone. 

Thanks for the info, I'm sure some people are overly paranoid and some are totally oblivious to potential risks. 

Would something like using PayPal to buy something on eBay be risky on public WiFi? As I bet lots of people do that sort of thing without a second thought these days. 

Yes it's been really mild today! It's very confusing! 

I don't sell products so I'm not involved business wise, but as a consumer it does seem a bit ridiculous. I think there are sometimes deals to get but more often than not it's hype and the so called huge discounts are only on overpriced products anyway. 

My friend seems to get some great bargains from Amazon every year but I'm not sure I'm dedicated enough for it! I certainly won't be duking it out in Asda over the last wide-screen TV. 

It did rain sand, as it was all over my car but I'll pass on the mud thanks Andy! Sounds a bit too biblical. They'll be a plague of locusts next!

I know nothing about buying businesses, however this has red flags all over it for me. You don't sound like you really need him as a consultant and as for paying his broadband and mobile bill? Umm why? I assume you're happy with the price you're paying for the business to start with, as if he's been spending all the profits that doesn't sound great 

I really hope it works out for you but I don't think you should feel you need to pay him money to not be a pain.. . As I'm sure he will still be one! Just a pain on the payroll. 

I'm sure someone else will have better advice that's less instinct driven than mine. 

This really tickled me for some reason.. 

According to the BBC millions are in trouble with missed bills or credit payments. It also says a lot will struggle if their payments increase by £50 a month, which could happen if the rumoured interest rate rise occurs. 

I guess an increase in interest rates is happy days for those of you with savings, not so good for those with a tracker mortgage. 

What do you think the impact on your business will be? People with less money to spend is never good news.

A fascinating day with a very red sun and dark, eclipse-like eerie lighting. Apparently caused by the Saharan sand in the atmosphere. My car ended up covered in sand! How was it where you were? The wind was pretty gusty as well, although nothing like people in the storm's path I'm sure! 

This photo is just as you can see the weather changing, it got really warm and sunny afterwards!
