A hardware shop round the corner from us has had his store adorned with xmas lights from the 3rd week of October. Depressing...

Dont worry - Boxing Day will see the launch of the Easter Egg campaign - now thats depressing.

Work Experience.... 6th November 2014 10:06 AM

You're hired !! So a new Lord Sugar in the making? Does he get a £250k handout

On a serious note - what a refreshing change to hear about a teenager knuckling down and impressing you enough to take him on board.

Hope it works out

Its total rubbish !

Surely you work overtime to get extra pay for doing extra hours - if you aren't doing the job 'coz you are away how can you claim overtime

If this Law does come in then fair enough employers have a chance to set expectations and maybe kerb o/t to protect themselves but you can't instigate a back pay policy - it will close down the smaller companies and as Barney said we will all be inundated with calls claiming we are owed      ££££'s from former employers

Hamilton win - was it manufactured? 5th November 2014 10:31 AM

Lewis can win the next 2 races and still not win the Championship if he drops out of the final race!

Again last weekend Lewis was sublime and created a superb overtake on Nico and left him in his wake. Yet again in wheel to wheel racing Lewis is the man.

He has now become the most successful British driver with 32 race wins - surely his sights are now on the late great Senna who had 41 race wins, then Prost who had 51 and of course the ultimate champion of champions, Schumacher who had 91 career wins.

My HP is just hanging on - its not 3 years old yet and its my 2nd HP that died prematurely.

With the promise of a new lappy on its way, be interesting to see how quickly i can break it - i do seem to have a gift in this department

Leaflet Distribution 4th November 2014 12:07 PM

Must admit any leaflet in my door tends to get binned - not a fan of any "junk" mail or extra leaflets.

I'm very much of the mindset that if i'm looking for a product or service i will go and find it - i don't know how stereotypical or not i am though.

Brilliant

It is true though - have a look around if you are out and about this weekend, the amount of "couples" that aren't talking to each other but are social messaging their other friends.

I rarely go in to branch, purely because when i need them they aren't open, plus my local branch is in the town centre and its so busy on a Saturday i just can't be bothered to battle my way through.

99% of things i can do on-line anyway, just the kids accounts i can't access any more, only really need to go in to pay in on their birthdays & Christmas
