Basically I have an idea for a few different affiliation sites I would like to create, if I want to create a site similar to the below link
Lobay your Local Bargain Finder - Ebay Local Search Tool
So basically it just brings up a page where u can immediately put in a postcode and how many miles u are prepared to travel and it will bring up every bargain in your area
So my question is if I wanted that exact script building where would be the best place for me to get that done would it be the likes of these
Elance.com
Vworker
Odesk
Peopleperhour
Fiverr
Would I have to get someone to build the script and then someone else to do my design
Thanks for any help
Hm.. this is in fact a database search tool that allows you to search for these keywords: ("cash on collection", "buyer must collect", "collection only", "no postage", "pick up only", "unable to post", "needs to be collected", "Collection in Person only", "can't post" I assume you will have to acquire a full Great Britain postcode database and some space on your computer to store the information. The script isn't so hard to write you could hire a freelancer to do this. Other than that you will need a good connection between you and the affiliate site's servers, so if the query is sent the server shall respond properly. And probably an sql database handler for the future ![]() This is how I see things, but let's wait the gurus talk ![]() Thanks, Elisabeth
Well I'm not sure about fiverr! Think thats a bit optimistic ![]() As Elisabeth says, it's not going to be that complex, just go and find a half decent developer. Remember you get what you pay for, so if you have a minimal budget, expect a minimal end result! Any developer could do the script and the design for you.
It depends, may be search on all of the places and choose the best offer. People per hour will do I think, but on Fiverr you can get quite a bargain. Fixed Fee Legal Services | Bespoke Document Drafting | Document Templates
Far be it for me to dismiss someones idea, but why would you set up a site that simply searches ebay ? On ebay you need an account to bid and you can save a search, you can also have the searches emailed regularly, so why go to another site to do exactly the same thing ? Just a thought.... “Far be it for me to dismiss someones idea, but why would you set up a site that simply searches ebay ?” I think the idea is to try and fool the end user into thinking it's an ebay search, and then skim affiliate revenue. But I think (personally) those days are over, Google won't reward any sites like this, and any remaining ones will start to disappear, if they haven't already. |
