Argos wobbles and boss steps down...
“To be fair the above is no differnet to online retail shopping and the consumer spend via e-commerce increases month on month! They got something right all those years ago I'd say  ”You have a very good point BUT the main flaw in Argos' "Online shopping" way of operating is... well you're stuck in a shop with loads of people all feeling the same way! Online shopping can be done from home atleast.
People love argos because it is cheap, the trouble is you buy what you pay for. I have worked there and shocked at the amount of stuff that comes back, eg lady brings back a hoover after only 3 days! Bits of the plastic coating were coming off it! I don't tend to shop there unless I really need to. The staff are amazing though and often have to work under a lot of stress. |
