You've kind of answered it yourself, it's promotion.

Forums, become a regular and expert in your field so people will naturally be drawn to your blog, find forums that specialise in your industry.

You could do some guest blogging, linking back to your own blog, maybe some articles. Link building in general.

Social networking, set up a facebook fan page, start marketing it that way, use twitter, digg etc.

Hopefully theres a few to get you going!

Just an additional information from what sjr4x4 had said that is almost perfect.

You can also make instructional videos and share it on videos sharing sites like youtube. You can also apply email marketing by giving freebies for exchange of their email address so that you can send emails to them and drive them to come again to your site.

Wetherby, lovely place. Many years ago I used to work there. Regarding your blogs. Always try to write something your readers are going to find interesting, but not over lengthy. Plus add a fews pics to break up the text. I know it sound logical, but it is surprising how many people get carried away when writing blogs, and still expect others to follow them. Add some interesting facts, a little humour (not too much) and speak knowledgeably about your subject.
