Looking to buy another 4x4 i have had Landies, Pajero, Range Rover, Suzuki, Isuzu, and am now looking at the kia Sorento. They seem to offer a good back up service package and i have not yet found anyone that dislikes them.
i am hoping to do an exchange for our ford fiesta titanium with 4,400 miles on the 18 month old car, but we will see

Thanks,

Its wrong, and I can't help it, but I do get all snobby when I think of the Kia.

But from what I've heard, they are supposed to be reliable, and seem quite popular with caravanars.

Yeah i know what you mean, snobby that is i feel the same but i dont want a thirsty giant (no i do want but cant have) that only i will drive, and her what must be obeyed likes the kia, but i may get her over to another Pajero so that i can play off road or if i am really good a nice short wheelbase v8 landy just to play in instead.

How I miss my short wheelie V8

But now have a 2 ton caravan, so its a 3 litre Patrol that does the job. To be honest I love it, proper 4x4, transfer box, diff lock and no hill descent control to be seen any where

Pajoro was the second choice, although Nissan now stopped importing Patrols to the UK, so dunno what we'll replace it with. Not a fan of the modern shogun, think Mitsubishi spoilt a classic design.

Maybe a RR sport if we win the lottery

Like you i dont like the shogun, i liked the suspension control in the pajeros and its bottom grunt, it went everywhere i wanted to go and a few that i did not want to go but true fun it was.

Looking at shogun till i saw the road tax price, so at the moment we are looking at a feelander, who knows what we will end up with, its finding a gargage that has what we want, but her indoord likes what she likes and i aint going to argue especially if i get to play, who knows i might end up with an oldun to play in and wife can have a decent 4x4 so that i can tow it on a trailer. (the oldun that is)

Just got back from a weeks caravanning in Bodmin, and the van next to us was towed by a 4x4 Kia. Chatting to the owner, and he had nothing but praise. To be honest first time I've looked at one close up and its actually a nice looking wagon, with a bit of a mercedes look to it.

Towed a treat, forgot to ask what mpg he was getting, but chap said it made a good all rounder, family motor/tower.

If you fancy a trip to Stonleigh in Warwickshire, its the Land Rover show 28 - 30th Aug. Might pick up a bargain play machine

Cheers for the feedback, i looked at a kia today and thought how tacky some of the bits were, but that was a different kia to the one we are talking about. however as we are trying to sell both our properties, 1 in Burton that we let and the one in newhall that we live in we have decided to wait for the vehicle till we have sold both properties, then see what we have left in the pot, get rid of the wifes car and buy what we can afford or what takes the urge at the time.

Thanks,
