We booked a taxi yesterday from Birmingham to Newport, at 11,30 p.m. We paid in advance full amount of £ 60. Taxi did not came. We rang lot of the time to the office but no change., So we had to pay for a black cab to back home.
This morning we rang the office to ask for refund but office refused to refund us.
Terrible service.
BUSINESS RESPONSE:
We took customer to Birmingham New Street Station and he paid the return. Our driver later went back on time to the return booked location which was the same as the earlier drop off. Whilst waiting there the customer phoned our office very drunk and demanded our driver pick him from a pedestrian area. Our driver left the booked location and tried for 20 minutes to pick the customer from the location he demanded but was unable to get anywhere near. Meanwhile the drunken customer repeatedly phoned our office and was very abusive to our staff.
In the end the driver went back to the only closest point he could get to, which was the initial pick up point and the customer was told to go there as he had booked it from there anyway and the driver can not get anywhere near to where he had moved to (being a pedestrian area). The customer refused and gave more abuse and stated he was going to make other arrangements. Our driver after some 30 minutes then left.
The next day the drunken persons partner phoned and apologised for her drunken partners behaviour.
We have telephone recordings to verify what we maintain is correct of driver, office and customer.
As such we did our job and more and should not be subjected to abuse and then slated when it was through no other than the drunken customers conduct which was the problem.
