I’ve been training at this Wing Chun Kung Fu club for 5 months now, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every session. Sifu Bill's mastery of the system is mind blowing. The instructors are highly skilled, patient, and passionate about teaching authentic Ip Man Wing Chun. They create a welcoming environment for all levels-whether you’re a complete beginner or have prior martial arts experience, like myself. The classes are well-structured, focusing on technique, practical application, and personal development. The club is friendly and supportive, which makes every session enjoyable and motivating. If you’re looking for a place to learn real, authentic, Ip Man Wing Chun, this is the club for you!

It is not what you would expect. The people in the club are friendly and make you feel like you belong, the training is tough but also rewarding and really teaches you how to defend yourself and others. Recommend it for sure.

I've been with the club for 2 years now and still enjoy every session. It's a very welcoming club to be a part of with members of all ages shapes and sizes. I greatly appreciate the skills that I have gained from Bill, Steve and Dan, and yet I can also see how much of this fascinating artform I still have to learn. It is well worth sticking with it for the first few weeks to find your feet and start the learning process.

As a new student of the art, I just wish I had discovered Wing Chun sooner.
My view so far is that it is a highly effective basis for self-defence, and doesn’t require high levels of fitness, or abnormal flexibility! It exercises both mind and body, with emphasis on efficiency of movement, posture and coordination. The Somerset group has been very welcoming, and happy to share in their enormous experience. With multiple instructors, there is a lot of variety from class to class and always something interesting and new to learn. However, having said that there is also a structured syllabus to follow which is something I like as it provides objectives and a clear path for progression.

Everyone is very helpful and friendly and it is a very effective self defence class! Highly recommend to anyone who is just looking to be able to defend and feel confident in themselves! We train as a group from teenagers to 80+ years old it is very accommodating unlike some martial arts and can work for any individual!

Wing Chun is a short direct fighting style with an emphasis on speed and accuracy. Bill is an excellent teacher with years of experience. He has helped me adapt the style to my limitations and is really adept at finding what works for me/you. The class is really friendly and ego free, everyone is there to train and help bring each other along. I can't recommend it highly enough
