Trying seek help on valuable item
Left holding on to an 0844 number for over 7 minutes before it simply cut off.
Does the post office make good money ou of people holding on.
Pushed 1 to take the feed back option but never git thst far.
My feed back is that this is the lowes level of service possible and when you are upsrt and worried its the ladt thing you needvyo add to you woes

I know that the collection office on Sherman Road does not receive much positive feedback which is why I am writing this review. Apparently they had some problems & at 7.30 am this morning there was a note on the door saying 'this office is now closed due to IT issues and to arrange a redelivery we should should contact Royal Mail. The note gave the impression that they were not going to be opening at all and there were a number of understandably cross people outside, of which I was one. As it is 21 December I thought it was very unlikely that any parcels would be delivered before christmas, but I went home to give it a try. Sure enough the online delivery rebooking only showed delivery dates until tomorrow and you couldn't book it anyway. Feeling really fed up and cross I went into work. On my way home tonight I was driving back past Sherman Road and stopped in case by some chance they were open, which they were. The computer system had just come back online, there was one guy on his own and he called everyone over and clearly thinking on his feet dispensed with the normal procedure of checking the card and going off to find each parcel and instead opted to write the location of the items on as many cards as he could in case the system went down again. He got through at least ten people in the time it would have taken to serve one and called for someone who was out in the back to come and help by going to get the parcels and then carried on. He managed to get through several more before the system went down again. If he hadn't have done that there would only have been one or two people who would have managed to collect lanything in that time. Three cheers for Ken S who turned a difficult situation into a success tonight by using his common sense. Something which is sadly lacking in this day & age. You certainly made my day Ken, have a great christmas!.
