This banking hub has reinstated the high regard I used to have for Barclays Bank. The gradual closure of branches in this area has meant a tiresome journey for locals to Paignton or Torquay in order to make the simplest adjustments to accounts. We are not all computer savvy. Now I can call in at Brixham Fore Street without an appointment and I'm dealt with quickly and efficiently be someone I know, rather than a 'whiz kid' young person who talks too fast and operates the keyboard too quickly. I felt like a silly old man who needs to be dealt with swiftly, rather than a valued customer. I've been with Barclays since 1963. I'm much happier with my bank and banking these days.
