Kpi, various people who have gone to the domain can see the website. Only this guy, and he said one other lad, have got the holding page. That's what is frustrating. I left his house went back to my office, plugged laptop back into my ethernet and I can see the website.

But hey guess what, a momentary update - he rang me this aft to ask how to run the cmd for the flushdns so I talked him through that, he got a message saying it couldnt find the file or something to that effect, so I said lets leave that one then, then he went to check the site and voila!!! It was there, he could finally see the website and he logged into the cms and made an edit saved and saw the update on said site! Yayy!! Or so we thought .....

He then went out for a few hours, came back tonight and went to try again to do some updates and lo and behold the damned 123-reg page is back - now fathom that one out!! Even more maddening and frustrating.

@ 123-Reg - I cannot PM you as you dont have thje PM facility yet as you are new member. Can you email your email address to me? info (at) indizine.co.uk - I dont want to drop it here in public seeing as its not 100% yet. Thanks

well that's true, the cable is the same and perhaps the only common denominator now, come to think of it. Will ask him if he has another he can try. Thanks!

I still think every individual has an equal right to the benefits available. We fought for equal everything else so why if you are in a pair should one get penalised? One could argue "oh well, at least one of you is not disabled in your house, so the able person can drive, cook clean and drive and thus the disbaled peson doesn't need mobility money! Think about how you could apply that 'you're a couple now so your resources should be combined' to other benefits.

Yes tried turning off Firewall after checking permisssions and checked his McAfee blockings.

It is worth noting that he has also recently moved form AOL to TalkTalk however the problem hasnt gone away and he has switched routers during this time (he got a new talktalk one) so we cant pin it down to a router either if it's been changed.

However I do not know if the client has rebooted it since we applied a few things (ip reset, etc) yesterday but as I say, it was same with aol router and he obviously had to turn that off to then plug in TT router. But I will ask him to power the lot down for ten mins and reboot and check again. Meanwhile if anyone can throw the smallest of ideas in, it would be appreciated. We may have already done most obvious things but you never just know!

This is a bit of a conundrum as we have checked out as many things as I can think of and to no avail

Launched a wordpress website last Wednesday. Done the same as we always do, and the domain is with 123-Reg as are dozens of ours and our customers. We normally upload site to server and change nameservers and site goes live pretty soon thereafter.

Except on this occasion whilst it has gone live, no doubt about that, the customer cannot get it to display on his PC and instead gets the 123-Reg holding page.

Various other people and myelf can view it, even browsershots is returning it fine across the board except it did return 1 result with the 123-reg holding page. The url in the browser converts to show the IP address followed by the domain name. Client has most recent versions of FF & IE.

Today I went over to clients house and took my laptop on which I can view said website OK. I plugged his ethernet into my laptop and guess what, I got the same result as him!

Have I missed something here? Normally we dont have to do anything, but clearly at the clients end there is a setting that needs changing but i'm out of ideas.

We have checked firewall permissions, turned off firewall temporarily, made sure latest browser versions are installed (he is getting same result in FF & IE) and he even rang 2 IT guys and they couldn't offer an instant answer like "oh yes its your thingymajiggy just click x, y and z and reboot" and i've never come across it before either.

Any ideas?

I agree, sell it as one package for one price. If you need both to make it work why sell as separate anyway?

Yes, that does mean 2 individual families will earn more and get it, but you could ague that each of those persons has done what you have - each as an individual earned their right to tax and benefits incentives. They could argue "why, when we as 2 individuals have worked our butt off each, got to where we are, and lose CB". Just a thought. Anyone getting money removed from them is going to be unhappy. Just that some gov changes affect you, some dont, there will come a time one a change is going to affect you at some point somewhere down the line.

To be honest though and to make it fair, why dont they scrap it altogether and redistribute the budget into another means-tested pot or better still, into the income tax pot and then those who do earn, paye accordingley and fairly. I think they should just do away with all these faffy benefits and make the taxes lighter as a result of working. Thats got to be much simpler and fairer to everyone then you only benefit if you work and cant cheat much.

PS MagnifyB, just set up as Ltd Co, pay yourself under

The header (4P's) bears no relevance to music on hold so on landing I would be a little perplexed with that.

Next, it isnt anything different to any other web page selling a product. It explains the benefits and the product description, but I wouldn't say that it tells me how music on hold 'works'. Just that it does work.

I presume you are just practising on twenty ten template?
