Hmmm well I did have the cane twice!! One was for 6 strokes and the other was for 2 strokes, the 6 stroker they put a leather strap across my tongue to prevent me biting it. If I had done what I had been accused of I may well accepted it as punishment, but even 45 years on I still resent the fact that an adult had the legal authority to beat a kid without justification.

Maybe it is time to get rid of the freephone number as well? So if a customer rings me up on day 1 and asks for a new boiler to be fitted, I go and fit it on day 2, on day 10 they decide they don't like the look of it as it doesn't blend in well with the new kitchen they've just had fitted, I'm suppose to now take this boiler back am I because it is within the 14 day time frame? What am i suppose to do with it, no supplier on or offline will take it back. How is it decided on how much of a percentage to charge on used goods? Some goods must be exempt from this ruling as they would have lost all of it resale value if it has been used, i.e. clothes, bedding ect....

Being the poorest plumber in London, can't say I've got any either. Come to that I haven't even got a fiver on me, just a bit of change for the parking meter. I will not feel offended if anyone wants to set up a 'just giving' page on my behalf.....

Generic Top Level Domains 27th April 2014 10:50 PM

I think I'm getting a bit confused here, will they hold any value as far as the search engines go in relation to page position? Secondly I thought Google had previously punished sites that had a domain name which contained text that would give it a high ranking, but had little or no content on the site itself. Today I have pre-ordered a few domains, not that I want to use them more to do with preventing others from getting them. I know it seems mean, but I guess that's business. Mind you others may also have pre-ordered the same domains....

I think for all bookmakers online gambling websites out perform the high street shop, firstly the majority of them are based offshore usually in Guernsey whether this is for tax reasons or legal reasons I'm not sure. However believe it or not they are just virtual offices and no more than that. Not sure of the running costs of maintaining gambling websites, but I would assume that its a lot cheaper than the running costs of having a shop in every high street. A fair lot of gamblers smoke and drink, you cannot do either anymore in the betting shop, but you can online, if you want to play poker at 4am you can online but the shop is closed, from a security point of view bookmakers are more secure from trading online than from having a shop, less staff to pay wages too also. There is also an issue with car parking, without being able to park without the risk of a parking ticket town centers will gradually become a thing of the past. I've been to towns where there are no parking controls and they seem to be thriving and drivers don't seem to be abusing it either.

I think the problem lies, well for me I'm pretty sure it does, in the fact I contracted a Scottish SEO company several years ago to do a link building exercise for the website, only to find out that they had outsourced it to India cost me over £3k for this rubbish, because we were all led to believe that we must have links links and more flipping links. Have had a new site up and running for over a year, apart from this site and a few social media sites there are no links and funny enough there is no spam either........

As an 8 year old I was given a Johnny 7 one mans army for Christmas all the kids had to have one, if you had one now it would be worth a few quid, but if you played with it in the street today, the chances are you'd end up playing dead for real....

As a kid both I and most of my mates had penknives, we'd either calve the bark out of trees and leave our names embedded or sharpen arrows or make spears, nothing very unusual or criminal. Nowadays if a kid has a knife the chances are they either have it to protect themselves or they have it because they want to stab someone with it. 1000 kids caught with deadly weapons

Going by my inbox I would have put India first, USA second and the UK third and China fourth. No one else seems to bother me.....

I haven't been to a co op since I was in shorts, they use to give stamps out then not sure if they still do though... Generally go to Asda because it is more local, sometimes go to Morrison's just for a change of scenery. But I did go to Aldi just before Easter and I was pleasantly surprised bought a full leg of British lamb for £10 which was really nice, loads of fresh fruit and veg for next to nothing, some new cleaning materials for the other half and a couple of bits of steak for me... and got change from £30. Anyway I do hope the co op pulls through the tough time it is going through' though I guess the problem lies directly with the poor management, as they must have done quarterly and half yearly forecasts so to do a full year and end up with a £2.5billion loss beggars belief, I'd also expect some senior management and accounting staff to be fired with immediate effect.
