Familiar website 30th June 2010 7:22 AM Steve, We paid a visit to the address registered.... the lady there had never heard of the company, but interestingly, she told us she rented the house...... from the same letting agency that we had problems with! Called the guy back and did as you said and advised him unless he removed MY content from his site within 24 hours we would be taking legal action. He said he paid someone to do his site and he is far too busy to have looked at it and had no idea what was on there Just had another look ..... and its GONE! I called him and asked for a quote for carpet cleaning, ' Sorry ' he replied. ' Can you give me a price for carpet cleaning please?' i said. ' Say again please' he asked. 'DO YOU DO CARPET CLEANING?' im getting slightly perplexed by now. ' Oh yes, can you call me back in half an hour im driving' How many lost customers???? Could your wording be improved with keywords etc. It's happened to me before and fortunately I was planning on making changes anyway so was not concerned. You could look it as a compliment and move on and improve and be better than you were before... ...unless you feel you've reached perfection in which case... ..take action! ”Having looked into taking action , i dont think its something we can do as i think there will be costs involved etc and cashflow is tight just now. I do keep telling myself i should be flattered , but although i know its far from perfect, as a novice and having done it all myself i was quite proud of it and certainly dont relish the thought of having to re word it all again just cos some lazy git couldnt be bothered to put a bit of thought and effort into his own site. I'm so cheesed off right now, especially as due to there selfish actions, we run the risk of being penalised for having duplicate content!
