Proposed MOT changes! 22nd February 2017 2:31 PM

I've found it now!!! Whoop feeling good

Its just for security reasons Barney, that's all

Decided to dump Microsoft and windows 10 and treat myself to a new Apple 27inch iMac in the end and pleased to report everything now looks normal, everything works with my iPad and iPhone and my computer life is a dream at present......

But, since the upgrade we are now automatically logged out rather than staying logged in... is this for a reason? Its not really important just a query really....

As I know and you all know, a huge sum of us here own, work, manage small businesses. Alongside running a small business you do have to consider a marketing plan that will replicate the budget you have to spend.

Marketers should be ignoring the way huge brands such as Apple,Nike, Samsung etc. This down to these brands being highly irrelevant to the way smaller businesses market.

Why are they Irrelevant you ask?

  • They are the marketing equivalent of 1% and not the 99% we all work in.
  • Their agendas are far to complicated- smaller businesses should find brands  that are similar to themselves
  • The marketing budget they use is impossible for smaller businesses to live up to.

Marketing is a powerful tool within your business however larger brands can have up to £1 billion worth of budget for their marketing. My advice is keep it short and sweet, the last thing you want to do it bore consumers and lose customers because of long winded marketing. Set yourself a budget each month and stick to it; this way you won't be losing out .

Oh my last tip! Be exciting and mysterious.... this way you'll customers will be engaging

Facebook launches new TV App... 15th February 2017 9:11 AM

Apparently the only screen Facebook is currently not dominating is the big one in our homes, that being our TV. The social media site are trying desperately to further the platform, and looks like they might have just thought of a way.

For those of us who use Facebook, we know that it can host a lot of videos, such as vines, news stories and anything anyone else decides to post really. But wouldn't you like to view those videos on a bigger screen, such as your television for the whole family to see. It beats passing your phone around a million and one times, and by then it just gets boring.

Facebook is about to roll out an app which will make passing that phone around just a little bit easier. Users of the social networking site that have Apple TV, Amazon fire TV and Samsung Smart TVs will be able to watch Facebook user generated videos directly on their own televisions. The announcement of introducing the app itself runs alongside the platform wanting to become more video friendly and be a main feature of the site. Since the 'Facebook Live' has gone so well Facebook want to carry on the success and begin to compete with other networking platforms such as YouTube.
