Still waiting

Small companies that I know usually calls to freelances to solve their IT problems. Another possibility it to contract maintenance with any IT company, monthly paid.

But when the budget is very low they fix it by themselves.”

I suppose the issue here is consistency and quality of support. Plus leading on from a thread I commented on a minute ago about 40% of users suffering from cyber crime, having lots of different low cost freelancers accessing your website and data has to be a security concern?

Maybe that should be the primary call to action, professional and secure support versus a cheap freelancer of unknown origin and background? Makes you really think when asked to put your details into a new website. Who supports it, and is it safe?

40% of consumers experienced cyber theft 24th November 2015 11:57 AM

I wonder how many from that 40% are victims of larger organisations that have data breaches, like the recent talk talk? So it's not necessarily just individuals security, but also that of larger corporations.

THE HOGGING OF THE LANES ON MOTORWAYS 24th November 2015 11:52 AM

From what I've seen, lorry drivers tend to be the worst road hogs on motorways. How many times have you seen a lorry right up the backside of a car, or really close to the back of another lorry?

Obviously apart from the lorry and bus drivers past and present here who are obviously super professional

Hello Adrian

Some good points from Steve. I'm not as precious when it comes to websites and a free website can work for some business types if it has the relevant information and looks good enough.

Don't forget the offline world. Maybe a good avenue could be schools, colleges, sixth forms, adult education centres, and get your details registered, or flyers/cards put up. If people need extra assistance or support, I imagine this will be a core market. Maybe think about any government run schemes or agencies like the job centre and get yourself known as a local resource, maybe this will generate referrals.

Digital wise, agree social media could work well, particularly facebooks ppc can be very effective for little boosts and can relatively inexpensive, but give you a good insight to your target audience.

Let me know if you have any questions.

You can't beat cadburys Chocolate, I hope they don't start messing around with the formula, or recipe. Apparently I hear they are now using sultanas instead of raisins in the fruit and nut bars because they are cheaper. Hope it's not the start of a money saving slippery slope. I've noticed choccie bars have been shrinking over the years

You wouldn't catch me buying anywhere for Black Friday , I would rather pay double than have the displeasure of being in a horde of people trying to kill each other over a high cost item .. ”

It just goes to show the power of marketing spin and peoples perception of a bargain. Also seems to show the natural pack mentality we seem to have. I agree though, I would sooner buy a different day, or wait for the next special offer.

iTrent help 13th November 2015 4:10 PM

I'm guessing we are a bit light on the iTrent help front.

I think I would try and find a HR specific forum and see if that gets a better response. Best of luck.
