Driverless cars by next January 30th July 2014 1:24 PM

I saw this briefly yesterday, you beat me to posting about it

Going to be an interesting journey and insurers must be crunching some very big numbers as there is bound to be a few "teething" incidents.

Also be interesting to see how the cars develop as their are sensors everywhere, making the car ugly and not exactly streamlined for fuel economy.

I'm sure we can work out an hourly rate for him as long as i get a finders fee

I can see the benefit of cleaning up all Cities but the Councils will have to be first to clean up their act. How many times have you sat behind an older bus or taxi that takes off at the lights leaving you in a cloud of diesel smoke!

Only caught a snippet of Central News last night - i think they were reporting on the possibility of either a Congestion Charge or cleaner engine levy being brought in to Birmingham - was only a matter of time .....

The bottom line is, is at the end of the day it is the people who reside and who have business premises within the zone who will end up paying for any increases, as it will just get added to the final bill. And if my 2012 Renault Traffic van makes it to 40,000 I'll be Ok, wont be happy with it as it's the worst £20k I've spent. The only way it will see 2020 is if I put it in a lockup...

Oh dear - Barney your opinion of Renaults is about the same as mine - my 3 1/2 year old laguna with 60,000 miles gearbox died - massive debate ensued with me dropping it rather quickly as they refused to pay in full for a new one. Vowed never to have another Renault ever & would never recommend them.

Even the F1 teams that use their engines are bitching about them lately

Further charges for diesel cars/vans not conforming to Euro 6 emissions are being considered IN ADDITION to the Congestion charge.

Petrol cars registered before 2006 will also pay this new levy if Boris gets his own way, which he wants in place by 2020.

Thats a hefty charge and surely will now have an impact on vehicles choosing to drive through Central London.

Is it a good idea or is Boris making London a no go zone & will industry & commerce vote with their feet?

I think 24 hours is inline with NHS appointments too, well my dentist anyway

I was just the same as Mark, had bits of paper and an awful filing system on my PC.

Steve forced me to adopt a folder structure within our email system. Took a hell of a long time to get used to it but now i'd be lost without it & i now have records of anything important i need to have access to.

Pains me to say it but i do adopt Steves approach to emailing myself notes and fully utilise the appointment system within Outlook to set reminders etc during the working day too.

Still use a desk pad for telephone notes though

I guess its down to each business to what they sell/offer as we all vary.

In our case you buy at point of sale - dont pay, listing isnt live - simples

Because i'm creaking, currently i see an Osteopath about once a month, payment is at the end of the session. Did cancel my last one due to work commitments but did give him a weeks notice so all is good and there is no "surcharge" next visit

Or grab a selfie

Nope - was just purely commenting on the Twitter records broken that night and the fact that Social media was used to taunt the "rival" teams

Ive actually been doing a fair bit of dating in the not so distant months and had experiences both of an online pic thats clearly not either a recent pic or certainly been "adjusted" and another that to be fair was not a best pic of her, but was still nice and when she turned up she was stunning! Sadly no sparks
