Google trying to be too clever? 27th December 2014 9:09 PM Google is clever... but quite buggy on the back end... Perhaps, some of the bugs may entice you to spend more with the big G? The only analytics I'm interested in is what goes into the bang, and how to improve it... Marketing Plans and Targets for 2015 - what are yours? 24th December 2014 2:41 PM Marketing is Key - how else do people get business? Marketing can be a bug bear, but when you have it right, it can sky rocket your business, that's for sure! We've spent 2014 ensuring we can cope with an influx of business, building up teams and back ends to cope with demand. It just so happens that February is our expectant month to see the results from 2014's plans being actioned as we speak. January 2015 is being kicked off with a massive reduction in our prime course cost - this huge saving makes us the most cost effective product on the market. Our same high levels of service, and our accredited certification, at the price of our competition (without accreditation). New routes to market are being utilised, including our beautiful telesales department, who are really employed to chat to people, and help them along the way. A no pressure, no hassle way of assisting businesses become compliant. A new poster campaign, new brochures, new business cards, new vehicle livery, and new products all hitting the market - which in turn marks a few new verticals to this business. It's exciting times, as we also take on several new charity contracts, delivering FREE courses for adult education to worthy causes. We hope to unlock the secret (or mental block) that is social media, and this will be done with our more exciting videos hopefully when life warms up. My dream really is to get people a tad viral about First Aid - after all, it saves lives, and that's pretty cool in my opinion! 2014 review - did you meet your targets and goals? 24th December 2014 10:54 AM What a great post! But seriously, 2014 has seen its ups and downs that's for sure! Living by the principle that 'Progress is made when every mistake you make is a new one', we've certainly done a lot of learning across the board in 2014, and are moving forwards in leaps and bounds. It's not all about the money made, it's about making shrewd moves that pay off in the long run. Growth, investment, and policy improvement has been what 2014 was about, and we've met, and exceeded our expectations. 2015 will be about market dominance in all fields. Local trials have shown the effect on local competition, and by simply giving a better, more reliable, more enjoyable service, we're in for the win. Further expansion, and targeting new areas will be on the cards, as well as continuing to learn about this media thing, which is real important - along with traditional marketing concepts, which we're driving right up in the new year. What do you think about Sonys decision to capitulate? 23rd December 2014 11:08 AM If only it were that easy... I'd have no competition! What do you think about Sonys decision to capitulate? 23rd December 2014 11:00 AM DDOS not required... That single connection to china look anything like this Steve? If so, it just got unplugged...
Russian currency situation critical - Apple freezes online sales 19th December 2014 4:49 PM You want to see the state of Belarus because of this all. And Russia has just had a falling out with Lukashenka too. There's a country that needs support right now. In the UK, I think we sort of plod along, propped up by whatever, but when we feel a strain industry and money wise, it's a million times worse in the lesser lands, especially former soviet block states. One of our neighbouring businesses deals with import / export to Russia. I feel for him so bad. He's getting greyer and thinner by the day. My greatest fear is Russia has Nuclear weapons. And their planes keep flying in our direction, ditto their ships floating too close to us. Que the flashpoint, and a whole load of mess could pop up. What do you think about Sonys decision to capitulate? 19th December 2014 4:44 PM I always thought North Korea only had dial up - how do they intend to hack anything with that? In this day and age, it's reasonably easy to block a countries IP, preventing access, and as North Korea only has about 4 IP addresses, then the job is even easier. I'd suggest, the threats are from outside of the country, meaning there are 'spies' all over the world for North Korea. Or more likely, this isn't the case at all, and an organisation fighting for truth and justice has taken up the chalice. Either way, Sony won't have taken the decision lightly, as they are undoubtedly loosing a small fortune from pulling the plug. I'm in two minds. The first is down the line of restricting freedom of press, freedom of speech, freedom of thought and opinion, the other is that there is much hype and propaganda about anything that is different. This one sided, unbalanced view skews the average thought process, and this, when repeated time and time again, can cause people to think in a certain way, towing a party line. Of course, this film is a comedy, and I would have loved to have seen it on that merit, but, the knowledge that people will form an opinion by artistic representation scares me. There are those who think of Kazakhstan to be filled with Borats. Russia to be filled with people who drive like lunatics, shooting each other (Not far from the truth in Moscow). Ukraine to be the badlands, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan to be filled with suicide bombers and madmen with machetes, and they also believe Africa is a country. All the above is most inaccurate - but for many, their opinion, formed by naivety is shaped by media in one way or another. So, to summarise, release the film, and then fly to Pyongyang for a weekend break. There is more to the picture with Sony than we have seen methinks. (I'll admit, I am sounding a bit one world order etc) How to show people round your house! 19th December 2014 3:04 PM If I had to ride the thing, there would be vomit at every corner too :/ Not good for selling a house :/ (Not speaking from experience) How to show people round your house! 19th December 2014 1:30 PM Only the Dutch could pull that off!
