Hello,

I'm creating an e commerce, i will sell online services (success fees based services) to UK customers. I want the customer to be able to allow for a payment at a fixed date (like 2 or 3 month after) if the service provided appeared effetively successful.

If it's possible, i would like a solution when the client would have to "cancel" (or me if it's not possible, as the service provider) the fixed payment to be made if the service provided was not a success.

My company will be based (as well as the company bank account) in France (abroad)

What simples solutions exists for my company to be able to receive payment from the UK resident ?

I searched direct debit, but it only available for payment to UK bank account
( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_debit ).

Thank You

Have you thought about Paypal? It may be the easiest and safest solution. Apart from the simple buy now buttons, you can create an authorisation to collect payments directly from the debit/credit card of your customer. It can be recurring or a one-off one.

Paypal will also be recognisable for all your customers, so they will be happy to pay using this service. However, there are some downsides: Paypal currency conversion is usually quite costly, and their fees will take some percentage of your gains, so you need to work that in your calculations.

From the legal point of view, you should also make sure that your T&Cs clearly state how the payment is going to be made and how the cancellation procedure will work. This is very important to avoid confusion and possible litigation.

Let me know if you have any questions about the payment. I can also help you sort your legal paperwork on the website - just ask!
