RAIL operators in Japan have unveiled a prototype for a "levitating" high-speed train capable of reaching speeds of up to 500km/h.

What do you think of that? The train works with an electromagnetic "cushion". Wonder how long before we can see more of these all over the world?

In the UK it would be scuppered by the wrong kind of leaves on the magnet... or even at 500km/h they would still be late

lol that train can cover more than 300km in about 40 minutes. I think we need a few this side. Pity they can't make them a little longer though. But I guess that would mess with the engineering behind the train?
