I am looking for some advice I have been asked to invest within a small company who are very local to me and I am wondering what sort of questions and information I should ask for before saying yes or no
Depends on much you already know and if it's new business or been going for a while? - what's there business plan? - what are they going to do with the money? - do they have a unique concept that could potentially be copied? - what's the short term to medium term strategy? - what return do you expect on your investment / what percentage stake? - is there more than one person involved in the business? - has anybody else invested? I could go on, but with so little info to go on it's hard to give you any decent advice.

To get detailed information i think you should contact with any legal advider because he will guide you much better than it.
All of the above plus Have a clear idea of what you want and expect from the business and have clear written agreements that allow this to happen as far as is reasonably possible. Bill Ryan |
