A student was proudly showing off his flat to some friends after a boozy night out, when one of them noticed a big brass gong and a hammer in his living room.
"What on earth is that for?" asked his friend. "Ahh thats my talking clock" said the student.
"How does it work?" said his friend. With that, the student wacked the gong with the hammer which gave off a big booming gong, followed by a banging on next doors wall, "keep the noise down you pratt it's one o clock in the morning!
