Something of a record!

I'd sen my humble little Bonsai WP.com site go up steadily in hits from 100, then 200 and it leveled out at around 250-300 a day.

Yesterday though 510 hits and thus far today just a minute ago, 476 hits. I like WP in-so-far as you can see exactly what folks are searching for and where they have come from, what links etc.

Bring on the target of 1000 If I can get an average of 1000 a day that is going to be say 300,000 a year taking out holidays and such forth.

I'm currently writing up individual care guides which is exhausting and techniques. I am doing it slightly differently by using pictures and words to tell a story. Downsides is loading speeds so at some stage I may have to reduce the res of pictures to make it run quicker for slow speed connections.

I'm thrilled to bits really and the more intense and thorough technical information I include will mean repeat hits. No money in it and it is just for fun really, but the challenge now is to get that 1000 hits!

I picked up so much from Steve & Kip when I was in business and it was Kip that first introduced me to WP. A huge thanks for that. I'm even in part using HTML code now.

Good work Mike. Keep it up! The more relevant and useful your articles the more likely your visitor numbers will continue to go up.

You never know, maybe you could start to make some money with Google Adsense on the side as visitor numbers start increasing.

Congratulation

Thanks,

Game on matey.

Always good when it's a subject matter that you really enjoy, makes adding content all that much easier, instead of scratching your napper and wondering what to talk about!

Maybe I need to turn my blog from waffle to Lorries!!

Ahh love my Mac and Photoshop; see what you made me do Kip Trouble is, this is one of the busiest times in the bonsai Calendar so I doubt that much will get done to the site for a while now, just when I waz on a roll.

Don't forget everyone, Best of British Bonsai at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens April 9th & 10th 2011 home also to the national collection, wonderful day out even for non-'bonsai' folks.
