Domestic surveys were great in explaining the whole process to us, as first time buyers it was great to get an understanding of what was involved. Lee gave a detailed and informative survey which was easy to understand. Lee also took the time to go through a few bits we were unsure about. We’re very glad we used got the survey and were able to use it to negotiate money off the house price.

Second time I have used this company.l to survey a prospective purchase. Martin is extremely prompt and will walk you through the options over the phone in great detail. They were quick to arrange a visit with the house owner and within a day or so Lee had the report ready in a new, and very layman friendly, format to send over. Followed up with a zoom call a few days after that to discuss it in more detail, I felt very confident about understanding the state of the house and any potential issues. Lee was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and included rough estimates of costs, an overall general opinion about the property and some general advice on negotiation with the home owner. It was clear that Lee had politely questioned the home owner at the time, researched the area thoroughly and was able to provide a small list of objective pros and cons about the property and the location.
Whilst the level 3 survey is not cheap, it's affordable and should be a no brainer when considering a purchase - I expect to save 10x the cost of the survey when renegotiating.

The report he produced highlighted every single detail about the propriety, with pictures that explained what the issues were and what they were related to.

We also had a chance to speak with him on 1 hour zoom call which has been one of the most instructive call I had in ages. He took the time to go through everything that was explained in the report, as well as giving us recommendations regarding what to look for in a propriety.

In the end the house that was surveyed resulted to have structural issues and we won’t go ahead with the purchase, but I am left with an incredibly positive feeling knowing how much I learned and that without Lee we wouldn’t be able to dodge the bullet.

The report was super detailed and the followup call on Zoom was great, Lee understood every concern I had and answered them in detail. Definitely worth the money for the peace of mind.
