PostsMy 10th post... 13th September 2010 8:17 PM Mods are a friendly bunch here and I think I just read the post about the website review also which brought a smile to my face. Need your thoughts 13th September 2010 7:09 AM Thanks Linda ![]() My spelling and grammar are not my greatest strength ![]() Changes made. Question for the boss man 12th September 2010 10:11 PM Ok - will try and twist his ear ![]() Need your thoughts 12th September 2010 7:46 PM As you may see from my logo I sell pdf software online. So one of the products is a free viewer which is a taster of what the software can do with reduced functionality, I make no revenue from the free viewer but hope to upsell the product to people who show an interest. So this weekend I have been running a ppc for the free pdf viewer and today for example have had 128 ppc clicks! So the customer lands on a page that says would you like free download then click here, of the 176 page views showing for the landing page (no other way of finding it other than the ppc) 91 people clicked to the next page, which asks for your name and email address, and when filled in you get sent the link by return. Phew ![]() Anyway when you get to the email page I have today introduced that you will be entered into a monthly draw for an ipod shuffle for filling in your details. Question would that be enough pull for you to sign up? Question for the boss man 12th September 2010 7:31 PM Yep see your point, however I was coming really along the lines of the benefit of forum users. Like the example I have given in my post, I was thinking that members kind of bring a level of trust with the offer. So if a company was for example offering x% of card processing fees then members here on the forum could potentially benefit as a result. Question for the boss man 12th September 2010 11:40 AM Steve The village market is mainly for members, but wondered what the rules are on offers that might benefit other members from other companies. For example I am doing some seo work for a telecoms company and they are running an offer on "music on hold" for business, that's offering 10% of there product to forum members. Can we publicise other peoples offers etc? Govt spending cuts produce first major casulty! 11th September 2010 1:33 PM Morgan Sindal have paid Google description discrepancies 11th September 2010 8:58 AM Linda your home page has no <meta name="description" that's why you have little control over what is showing. In the absence of the <meta name="description" google will decided what's best to show the end user. Hope that helps ![]() New site test 11th September 2010 8:49 AM Hi Mark I have not done anything to the site since my last post ![]() However as you have reminded me, I shall start with an article to get the ball rolling. However someone did contact me offering me seo on the site ![]() Google description discrepancies 10th September 2010 4:08 PM Linda Can you give an example of what you mean, what terms you might search for etc. |
