Olympic Tickets 2012 1st June 2011 10:03 PM
Everybody who applied should now know (if they've looked at their bank accounts) if they've got tickets to the Olympics.

Has anybody else applied and been successful - or have you had no joy?

I've got some tickets, been debited a small amount, so probably trampolining!!

...or is nobody interested in it!!

Make the most of it Steve - especially get your sleep while you can!

Anyway, I'm ready for this virtual toast & chinwag...

...why not have a virtual band whilst we're at it!

I'll just go and get my real drink from the fridge
If you keep to the facts Twitter is good to air your complaint, companies are monitoring tweets with their company name in. I had an issue with BT and within 24 hours I had a tweet from @BTCare and they picked up the issue and it was all resolved promptly.

Get in a car and head out to the Cotswolds as Stratfords full of tourists ....

...or even head to Stamford, hardly any tourists but still all the old buildings! If you wonder whether it worth the effort, then to quote wikipedia

Stamford was the first conservation area to be designated in England and Wales under the Civic Amenities Act 1967. Since then the whole of the old town and St Martins has been made an outstanding area of architectural or historic interest that is of national importance.

Need I say more, got to be worth it.

Google Chromebook 16th May 2011 8:59 PM
Not heard anybody mention anything about the Google Chromebook? What do people think of it. Do you think the timing is right? Are people ready to accept applications/software to be in the cloud?

Nice article that touches on it by Maggie Shiels.

I tend to agree that the change will happen but it's a question of when...

...people are comfortable with what they know, but overtime these things can change. For example, take the browsers - it's taken a long time to get people to move away from Internet Explorer but gradually it happened and now we have a spread across 3 main contenders, with Firefox and Chrome being the other 2.
