One thing I do like about dealing with small business is that they can remember who you are. I don't mind paying a bit more if I feel that someone knows me and understands at least a little about my requirements.

You never get that with the faceless large corporates.

Well webmasterworld and warriors forum are the main hang outs of the SEO top tier.

Also searchengineland has a pretty solid following.

I've looked at Seomoz a fair bit but don't find their tools that useful - have you seen Majestic SEO: Site Explorer at all?

Well being Angelina Jolie's toy boy would be just fine.

But as a former accountant 16 years PQE and now semi-self employed I would have to agree with Steve doing what I do now is great. Would be nice to earn a bit more. Maybe I can moonlight in a few libraries myself and sneakly post on their internet terminals whilst working.

Don't be frightened to open you wallet a bit.....

I've found that a couple of grand spent in the right way can do wonders for your web traffic. For example getting a few hundred sponsored posts on relevant blogs can bring a great stream of visitors interested in your topic. And provided its done well and openly sponsored not hidden its OK for the search engines.
