Linkedin is my favourite as its the most professional of all of them.

Twitter/facebook are too overdone for me.
No Follow Links - Matt Cutts 14th June 2011 8:13 PM
Nofollow helps preserve your own page rank, thats about all. Dont be afaid of getting nofollow links to your own site, it adds to your link diversity

That used to be true but now Google divides the link juice by all the links on a page do and no follow so it no longer helps. If you want to preserve link juice then cut down the outgoing links.
Forum Posting is Still Effective 14th June 2011 8:11 PM
Well don't forget that forums can bring real visitors to your site also - if you make an interesting contribution then visitors may click your link and take a better look at what you do.
It reminds me of the time they changed the London telephone numbers 01 became 0207 and 0208

An extra digit or two makes all the difference.
How to enter the UK market 14th June 2011 8:03 PM
The UK has a large Cypriot community, maybe you can get some contacts there are use them to break into the market. Try also the Universities in the larger cities maybe you could hire a couple of students to approach distributors etc.

Will article Marketing Die? 14th June 2011 7:54 PM
I agree - I think article sites will either drop out of the internet or improve, squidoo is a great example which hasn't been affected by the recent changes.

It combines articles with useful videos / images and other resources etc.

I can see it getting a lot tougher to submit and get listed and much more use being made of services such as copyscape to ensure content in unique at least at the point of submission.
What exactly is Shallow content? 14th June 2011 7:49 PM
Problem I can see I write a great unique article - because its good then it gets ripped off - spun, copied, scraped and its then not unique anymore.

If I write a poor one then no one wants to read it or scrape or spin it.

Seems to me you can't win one way or another.
Fortunately we avoided any panda problems but I think some of the sites such as directories I have used over the years got a hammering.

I hope the 2.2 version might help some of these as they were actually quiet good in parts.
