I couldn't agree with you more, your comments mirror my experience exactly.

Regarding this exercise, I wish you every success and hope you do indeed achieve your aim.
For NI read TAX!!!!!!!!
There was a time these went into different pots but not any more, they all go into one.
So when governments say they are keeping PAYE as it is but will increase NI, they are increasing our taxes!

Hi Steve

Its not a question of being unfair. That was certainly not my intention and I'm surprised if you think that.
In reality, its called a challenge, so there must be a finite time otherwise its not really a challenge is it?
The main reason I ask is simply that I would like to know what their thoughts were, especially as you can see from my previous posts I have a vested interest in maybe using them.
I understand it can take a long time, I have been working on SEO for my site for a couple of months and I have managed to get several keywords like Blu-ray Replication in my Replication heading and Variable Data Printing in my Digital Printing Menu on page 1 of Google in a relatively short time, unfortunately, some haven't budged and so I am not interested putting pressure on anyone and I am certainly not even implying anything but I do want it to work for selfish reasons.
Regards

Ive got UK Business Forums on page 2 rank 16 today. Is there a timescale when this challenge is complete?
It seems to me that small businesses needs help not more burden and red tape.
Considering small businesses are collectively the largest employer in the country but already pay the largest proportion of company tax per employee to the exchequer its about time the trend was reversed and help given to grow these businesses.
All too often we've seen Government and indeed local government throw money at foreign companies to bring their factories over here and invariably the majority are here for a relatively short time at huge costs to the taxpayer.
Supposing that money had been used to help small viable indigenous businesses grow, wouldn't we all be in a better position now?
There are too many of these small businesses failing now which in most cases goes unnoticed. There are a large amount of these businesses who fail simply because the banks reduce their overdrafts so that they have no liquidity, suppliers will not supply to them with credit terms, its cash only, in many cases they have a great order book but have to close their doors due to lack of funds.

This situation can only get worse with this type of burden.

Hi Paul?

Yes you are certainly going to help your credibilty if you achieve your aims and you seem to be on the way to achieving that in quick time.

I would like to talk to you about this further at some point, thats in relation to my own company's website.

Well that is a good start and quite refreshing to see an SEO company prepared to try something like this, all too often they make spurious and outrageous claims without foundation.
I notice on my Google toolbar that innocent advertising does not have a pagerank, I would be interested in their comments? Is this relative, an error, insignificant?
I wrote this article as I'm involved in ensuring I have licenses from clients for their music related masters prior to proceeding with the work. I know it will come as a surprise to many, naturally this was done for the UK market but it must also apply in the USA:

When Companies play music to their workers or use music when placing telephone callers on hold, they require a PRS licence agreement.

If a business includes music in its products or in their telephone on-hold system they need clearance from the owners of the music. They should be aware that penalties exist for non-compliance. This also applies to Wedding Videos, School concerts and events that play music, even as background mood music. In most cases people are simply ignorant of the legal requirements on music licensing and in the main believe that the fact that they have purchased a legal copy of a CD allows them to proceed to use it in some of the ways described earlier.

It's a simple fact that the majority of companies today, small as well as large corporates, banks and building societies etc. use music with the intention of giving their callers something to listen to whilst they are on hold. Others play music during the day to workers in certain production workshops and other environments.

PRS (Performing Right Society) for Music created in Jan 2009 with MCPS (Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society) are the non-profit organization set up to ensure composers, publishers and songwriters are paid the royalties due to them whenever their music is played. This applies to live performances, TV and Radio, CD & DVD Duplication, CD & DVD Replication, in other words, all Duplicators and Replicators require a copy of the licence agreement prior to proceeding with the
