Prime Minister attacked by a runner? 27th October 2014 7:28 PM Did anyone see the news, a runner in Leeds collided with the Prime Minister in the City centre. At one point whilst the police/body guards were grabbing the runner, the Prime Minister was on his own. My goodness what it that had been an attack and there had been two of them! Own up, who talks to their phone? Apparently teenagers do 25th October 2014 10:31 AM A friend told me how her daughter in the evening is always texting friends, my friend said what can they have to talk about, when her daughter been with her friends at School during the day! UK to pay an extra 24th October 2014 12:17 PM One problem with our economy is that wages are not going up. People are buying houses, more people in work, businesses are doing well, but wages are still low. So the Government are not collecting enough income tax, which why, they claim, they have to borrow more. Surely what they should do is pressure employers to up wages! UK to pay an extra 24th October 2014 11:58 AM I was shocked too Steve. And yes your right this is the best news for UKIP. I think it's just a shame that our Politians didn't have the sense to adopt common market ethics and set up something similar with the other countries we traded with before joining the EEC. However we are members, I would like us to stay but things need to change. If they don't then perhaps we may have to leave. But I do think we should have a vote on it.

“That's a fair point, but it can be a bit like the chicken and the egg, especially for more lifestyle type businesses looking to expand.
But even with free advertising/promotion there are still costs, ie your time (unless you work for free!) I'd imagine your line of work would be quite receptive to local offline networking groups, or at least 1 or 2 meetings then move on to the next. No point peddling to the same people If you want to capitalise on xmas cards, then look at bulk. Can/have you approached businesses? Lots of bigger businesses send out supplier cards etc. Can you do designs incorporating commercial logos? Maybe they would be receptive to the charity angle? Big business is very sensitive to be perceived as being a good corporate citizen these days. Lots of shoe leather, door knocking and making contacts will be the way forward. Waiting for a huge surge from social media will leave you still sitting there next xmas Approaching big businesses is exactly what I was thinking. I was also thinking do Estate Agents send a Christmas card to a customer spending their first Christmas in a house they have bought from the Estate Agent? How best to approach businesses, e-mail, phone call, post, in person? Daunting but feel I will have to come out my comfort zone if I want to get ahead of the game.
