Congratulations Trena and Mark

I'm impressed at your comments re: Facebook.

This has changed my mind and I think I am going to have to use FB, and probably Twitter.”

Latest scores on the doors, FB 319 likes, Twitter 101 followers, and Google Plus, a grand total of 9 followers

But it's been Facebook and a budget of £500 that has generated 4 weeks worth of customer applications, and even the though there has been  little further interaction and no more boosting posts, it is still generating interest and leads.

Interestingly, we started with a Facebook campaign which rand for a couple of days and did little. Instead, all the traction came from a boosted post, which was re-boosted once it was proven to work.

The boosted post generated a lot of comments, shares and general interaction.

But it shows from a standing start with a modest budget, Facebook can be a very effective lead generation platform and there is no reason why this can't be replicated by other business types.

Once we have launched the website for the new project, then the plan is to simply utilise social media for general communication, ongoing lead generation and brand building.

But for generating initial interest, with no website to back it up with, Facebook has been an absolute runaway success certainly taking me by surprise.

Be interested to hear how Dreamravens campaign is going and let us know if you do have any success with FB Dean.

Ha ha great one Kempres. I've moved it to rants and all things controversial as I suspect it may be an emotive point for some

Must admit, I've traditionally had a similar view, and never been tipped for any of my previous jobs until I landed in the corporate world and bonus's. That was a pleasant surprise, but in effect a glorified tip for personal or team contribution, for your day job.

But when it comes to restaurants and you have a nice meal, if the waitress/waiter/front of house experience has been nice, you feel they have been attentive and allowed you to have a relaxing and pleasant evening, then why not? We know the staff are low paid, and yes you can argue they should look for better paid work, but if they are happy to do it and be professional, then I've no problem leaving a decent tip.

But that said I've been to places where the staff have been obnoxious, service sloppy, part of your order wrong, but then a tip has still been expected, or a 10% service charge is automatically added, which I will ask to be removed.

Hotels are places I still get awkward, ie one with bell boys and an army of staff. I normally end up saying I'll take my own bags up as I've no idea what the protocol or bell boy going rate is. Personally that kind of tipping is annoying, and in the States it's a nightmare, although you can normally get away with it when they realise your a Brit  That's why Premier Inn's are great, no thrills, carry your own bags and no tipping!

Taxis I tend to round up or give around a £1 as a tip. I've no idea if that's good or bad, just habit. Rarely ever tipped the East European Pizza delivery bods, who mainly speak pigeon English, normally forget something, or my pet hate, get lost so your foods cold and you have to complain, again...

If anyone wants to leave me a tip, I'll add a paypal link to my signature

I thought it was the scene with Phil where you saw the London skyline?? Which was probably a real location (not on set) as it was live.”

Yep saw it there, but also saw it one one of the background scenes in Albert Square. Just wondered if that was accurate. I'm going to have to google it now

Is there no ombudsman you can refer the case to??”

Posted at the same time  The ombudsman in this case is MotorCodes.

Hi Steve, really sorry to hear it's impacted your health. Some people don't realise the stress these issues cause.

I'm afraid, due to a conflict in interest I've had to remove the name of the dealership.

But I can tell you this particular dealership is monitored and comes under the Motor Codes Scheme, which in turn falls under the Trading Standards Institute Consumer Code.

If you go to the Motor Codes website you can lodge a formal complaint or you can phone them directly on 0800 692 0825.

Motor Codes has to follow up consumer complaints and can act as a mediator between aggrieved parties. If you have any problems, by all means let us know.

After all the hype, here is the typical British humour Twitter reaction

Then of course, we have soap land crossing over into the real world for the more gulliable and stupid!

Give me strength.....

At least someone did well out of it!

Went through a stage of watching Emmerdale years ago, round about the plane crash on the village era. It all goes on in these Yorkshire villages! But always got ridiculed by my mates if I owned up to be an emmerdale fan, so peer pressure returned me to Albert Sq and the unluckiest place to live in London

Wonder if Eastenders will ever run out of steam like Brookside? The Queen Vic can only get burned down so many times, or cars driving into buildings.

On the live shots this week, you could see the Merryl Lynch and HSBC towers in the background, meaning the set can't be for from the Thames. Is that accurate for the real East end? Not being a London bod?

So have you been sucked up into this week of EastEnders hype and intrigue? I think the aim was to recapture the Who shot JR hysteria. If you don't know what that means, you're too young!

I am an Eastenders fan, if you've had a really bad day, sit and watching Eastenders can't fail to cheer you up.

But some of these story lines now are getting dragged out for so long you are past caring. This weeks episodes have been more of a comedy, with old familiar faces getting wheeled in.

Even Gillian Taylforth has been reincarnated! Starting to turn into Dallas, I'm expecting Angie and Den to wonder in next week after waking up from a bad dream.

But the second episode last night, after much expectation I thought was a bit of a let down. It seemed to stretch the imagination to breaking point as pretty much everyone in the square bumped, barged into, hit or squabbled with her. She even said "everyone seems to have it in for me tonight" which I'm sure must have been some tongue in cheek from the script writer.

I had staked a claim on Jane so I was quite chuffed when she was accused, but I'll be honest, I didn't see the last bit coming, and I won't say in case you haven't seen it yet.

At least Tanya managed to get Ian's name right after calling him Adam the other night  Must be daunting doing a live soap, knowing every last move is being tweeted and people are waiting for you to make a mistake!

Anyone else going to confess to being an East Enders fan?
