A kerb that should have been dropped by now is still ongoing. I've even asked a neighbour but the company he used has gone out if business. I'm thinking of doing it myself, how hard can it be? I read a story the other day of a lady who did a brickie course as she fell out with the people building her house so she built it herself!

I'm just wondering if people still employ apprentices and whether they are then taken on after completing their apprenticeship. I was interested to see if they are filling spaces or not.

I've been intrigued by bit coins for a while and still want to know if they actually have a future or not

Banning work emails after 6pm? 10th April 2014 5:44 PM

I think this just means that most people will leave the office by 6 so no work for nothing after 6!

Who would have thought.... 10th April 2014 5:42 PM

I think it just shows that things that worked and sold years ago can still have their day.

I think it depends on your market and how much money you've got to spend. Radio advertising can be more about brand building or event marketing. It can be expensive but can get subliminal messages out there and then this should be backed up with a totally integrated campaign i.e direct mail and online activity. Backed up with offers or similar message on your website, email marketing so that it strengthens your message. Many people don't tie things together so you see something on a flyer, look on the website and you're not sure if the two are connected.

I think nowadays though people need to think more cleverly about now they package things and how best to reach their target audience so that they hit them at the right time to buy e.g baby photos in hospitals, they are never the best photos but  all but one of my friends bought them, you've never heard of the company but it's in a hospital so must be ok. Fashion styling afternoons with a cream tea, etc etc. how many people visit local small airfields with their kids, great advertising opportunity for flying lessons, adverts or sessions for kids. You have a captive audience.

Girls 5th birthday party ideas 9th April 2014 10:38 PM

If you have young kids, any ideas for a girls 5th birthday party. Not wanting to spend loads but also not go crazy trying to be mum of the year and do it all myself!

What's classed as a young man?

Isn't this the First Direct model ? You can use HSBC to pay in money etc but everything else is online. I haven't been into a bank for years. Only need a cashpoint and that's limited now as most places take cards or you can get cash back.

Intrigued to know what people think, would you recruit an apprentice?
