HP to stop making computers! 29th August 2011 3:48 PM
Hp are pretty good when it comes to printing. I never had a HP PC so can't say about that really.

When you get right down to it, I guess it's just the choices and decisions that people make.
I'm pretty sure you will find a bullet proof way of getting it sorted out (until technology moves on again) I know that on some websites you can get a 'terms and conditions' page drafted for websites for free.
Basically the one I saw (I will try to find a link) you fill in the spaces and then it generates the page. If you have already got that page in place then maybe just have links to it. With severe warnings of punishment:

That's correct, like the 'no right clicking' options on some pages. It basically is something people like artists might do to protect images etc on site pages but with all the apps available it became almost a waste of time.
So either the artist would have to slap large words across images like 'Example' or 'Copyright' actually over the image or just not display it.
How do pay per click work? 28th August 2011 7:47 PM
As Steve has said, do not use PPC simply as a traffic driver! It will run away with your budget and give you very little return.

The 4 most important tips I can give anyone starting out on PPC advertising are:

1) Choose your keywords carefully and make sure they are relevant to your products or service. It is far better to have 10 highly targeted keywords than 100 that are loosely related.

2) Choose longer tail keyphases - they might not get the volume of traffic but they will product a far better return. For example, if you sell LEATHER BEDS bidding on the word BEDS is relevant but there will be a lot of advertisers bidding on the same word so will be expensive and you will find that the searcher is more of a browser than a person looking to purchase. Look at keywords that are more descriptive such as BROWN LEATHER BED or DOUBLE LEATHER BED.

3) Separate your keywords in to different Adgroups of relevancy so you can get your targeted keywords into the Adtext. It doesn't matter if you only have 2 or 3 keywords per Adgroup. The more targeted your Adtext to your keywords the more clicks and conversions you will gain.

4) Make sure you are sending the visitor to the right page. If they have searched for a BROWN LEATHER BED they need to be clicking through to a page that has this product. If you send them to the wrong page and even your homepage it means they have to search for the product or service they were looking for. The more they have the search your site the higher the percentage of you losing them!

I spent a stack of cask on adwords trying to figure out the right combinations, then just gave in. This though makes sense. Thanks -
Google +1 28th August 2011 7:40 PM
I think that when the Google + goes global to the public it will have changed.

I'm probably wrong but to me at the moment it seems that people using Goggle + at the moment see the benefits of it, while its being tested. People not using it might not get the full effect.
Let's say someone wants to Stop Smoking so they Google Search Stop Smoking then my Website details might pop up and any people in that persons 'Google Cirlces' that have +1'd my company, it will say Bob +1'd this company etc.
I think it will change when Google introduces the business or trade elements to the Google + system, it might be that people +'ing build up their own reputation as Google +'ers...
I was contacted by a chap on a 0845 number claiming ot be linked to the police, offering me a place on a 12 month wall chart that was basically advertising approved businesses run by people that do not have criminal records... He actually said, "I'm pleased to inform you that you do not have a criminal record!?
I can't say what happened after that as I'd hung up.

From what everyone is saying it seems to me that two of the strongest Universal Laws are underwritten into the dynamics of this situation.

On the one hand the copycat is influenced by the lack of Fear ( at a very primitive level it's basic obvious danger, consequences etc) probably never had that dreaded lawyers letter hit the doormatt...yet. "What do I lose if I did do this?"

And on the other hand is the greed aspect. The inner dialog probably goes something like this: "My house, my rules, my chair, my table, my computer, my images, my words etc" at a primitive level it is very territorial with no sense of personal boundaries.. "What do I gain if I do do this?"

What is missing is rational thought.
Usually a these laws balance out in a persons general personality as 'in life' I'm pretty sure the copycat would not even consider literally stealing or even borrowing without permission but the psychology of the internet and personal boundaries are hard (for some people) to define the difference between right and wrong.

*The copycat is almost certain to be 90% what use to be called a 'Troll'

I'm pretty sure that this is why RSS and share buttons were created for. On the one hand you must be a little flattered, but also a sense of being cheated.
